A green setting

Perched on the heights of the Domaine de La Citadelle, the eco-responsible Botanical Garden, spread over 5 hectares, displays the air of a Provençal Eden: here, plants and biodiversity reign supreme.

Six traditional terraces have been carefully restored and arranged to bring this enchanting place to life for the senses, from sight to taste: its edible plants enhance the culinary creations of the Domaine's two wine-restaurant spaces, the Bistrot de La Citadelle and the Table Agricole Tayac.

An exceptional flora

Between local and more distant plant species, the Botanical Garden invites exploration and contemplation, on a self-guided or guided tour, upon request. From terrace to terrace, different types of plants are offered to the sight and smell of visitors:

  • Aromatics (Syrian oregano, golden lemon thyme, agastaches, etc.);
  • Medicinal plants (agrimony, immortelle, eucalyptus, etc.);
  • Edible wild plants
    (valerian, violet, comfrey, etc.);
  • The magical ones (poppy, tail of
    lion, datura, etc.);
  • Carnivores.
